There are really 2 network marketing skills that are required to make it big in this game. And no, we aren’t talking about tools and I’m not going to sell you on any product that will recruit people for you.
Anyone who tells you a product can recruit people for you is lying; at the end of the day, you still need to follow up with people and close the deal. No matter what system, you still have to put in the time and work.
Well, simply put, because IT’S TRUE. Chances are, if you are reading this, you haven’t hit your income goal yet, or any income goal at all in this business.
And do you want to know why? It’s because you haven’t fully acquired the network marketing skills that ACTUALLY pay you in this business.
This first of network marketing skills is proper marketing. I run in to this problem a lot with people who aren’t making money and are “angry” at internet marketers. They throw a brick of money at a marketing strategy, and they expect immediate dividends.
Having money and putting skin in to the game is one thing, but it’s imperative that you identify the RIGHT tools to help you succeed, marketing to the RIGHT target audience. If you don’t figure that part out, then you are dead in the water, no matter if you are you, or you are Donald Trump and you have limitless resources to throw in to internet marketing. Remember, it’s network marketing SKILLS, not network marketing cash king.
The second of network marketing skills is being a strong communicator, which is also one of the pillars of fundamental leadership.
Study the masters of the industry, and you will begin to understand that they are effective communicators. They understand what their people need, and what method of communication they respond the best to. Thus, these leaders are able to get their message across in the most efficient way possible.
Communication has different components as far as network marketing skills are concerned, but it all revolves around influence. You need to be able to have the ability to influence people in what you do; whether it’s influencing them to make buying decisions, or influence them to act, or to go all in on your vision.
If you don’t possess the ability to influence people, then you need to figure out how to at least increase your skill set just enough to influence a few people, so they will go out and help you influence more people.
Not being able to have either of these network marketing skills will result in your failure in your business, plain and simple. That’s no BS…take it from me. I’ve been there, and I’ve felt that, which is why I drastically changed my demeanor towards my business.
So what’s the next step? Simple…if you don’t have one of the network marketing skills, or both, acquire it. It’s not rocket science; it’s basic adaptive behavioral patterns that any living thing on this Earth inherently knows how to do. Do the research, talk to the right people, and mastermind with the individuals that you pick out who have those skills and adapt what they know. Study their habits, and emulate them.
Then, take massive action and application towards your own business, and watch the results begin to take shape.
