My first experience with network marketing served as a very important lesson to me, both in business and in life, and so I want to share that training I went through when I first started with everyone. In order to build a house or construct a building that will last for ages, a solid foundation must be established. Basics of building a business are highly important, and I think that’s something that most people neglect to teach to their organizations to start. And what better way to start than to have a blueprint for your business: goals.
Goals and goal setting is one of the primary foundations of my business training for new business partners, and it’s something everyone should be teaching and using. If you have no goals up to this point, then you really have no destination. How do you actually expect to attain success without even knowing where you should be ending up? There is no business, small or large, that functions without an objective and goal in mind, along with a detailed plan of how they intend to get there, and how they will measure themselves against those goals to gauge “effectiveness.” Throughout my blog, you are going to see me point out foundational concepts that every entrepreneur must know. I will highlight them in bold, so that you know that’s what I want you to get. Ready? Here we go!
PRINCIPLE #1: IF YOU HAVE NO GOALS, YOU WILL HAVE ZERO COMMITMENT IN YOUR ACTIONS!
Objection: I don’t really know what I want in life…
Solution: Get a piece of paper and spend a day just thinking.
Write down the things that you would want to do if you had all the time in the world
Write down the things that you would want to buy if you had the discretionary income to
Write down the charities, organizations, and great causes you could help if you had the ability to
(if you give, you shall receive, and the more you give, the more you will receive)
Write down all the wrongs in the world you could right if you had the ability to
Write down what you’re passionate about
Write down what you’re angry about or what pisses you off
